THE BREAKAWAY REGION OF SOMALILAND ARRESTED KENYAN JOUNARLIST
Days after kicking out reporter Jamac Nur and Cameraman of Aljazeera Arabic Services, Somaliland the breakaway region of Somalia on Tuesday 29/06/2010, arrested Mohamed Adow who is a Kenyan journalist working for Aljazeera English.

Unconfirmed sources say that police whisked Mohamed Adow out of his hotel alleging to have sent a sensitive report from lasa’anod.

Mohamed Adow who is fluent in Swahili, English and Somali languages, prior joining Aljazeera headed BBC –Somali office in Ethiopia before being pushed by Yusuf Garad the head of BBC-Somali service replacing him with Abdirahman Koronto.

His reporting from Ethiopia for BBC and Aljazeera were never pleasure for Meles Zanawi’s administration and sentiments are his detention in Hargeysa is an order from Ethiopian Authority.
